This family home in the heart of Park Slope was a transformation of the deepest kind. The four-story property was set up as a rental property and badly in need of refurbishment. We created a triplex space for the family of five on the upper floors, with a guest apartment on the garden level for family and friends. The rear of the house was expanded into the garden slightly, and opened up with expansive glass to take advantage of the southern exposure.

For the interior spaces, we used wide plank oak flooring throughout the house and amplified the natural light with enlarged windows & skylights. The house extension was integrated with the existing structure seamlessly, with custom plaster moldings to match the original architectural detailing.
